Costa de la Luz

Situated in the western part of the Andalusia coastline, Costa de la Luz (Coast of Light) boasts fine sand and sun-drenched beaches. It is divided into two sections: Costa de la Luz (Huelva province) from the Portuguese border to the Guadalquivir river, and Costa de la Luz (Cadiz province) from the Guadalquivir river to Tarifa.

Costa de la Luz features beaches which are more expansive and backed by sand dunes and pine trees. There is no high-rise hotel development which are common in other areas. The mild temperatures together with the often strong Atlantic winds and waves offer ideal weather conditions for wind surfers and surfboarders. Visitors can find cliffs and coves near Barbate and around the Campo de Gibraltar.
